All lessons are recorded and you can review them as online videos at your convenience. Never miss a lesson and review when needed!
Tournament Games – FREE TO PLAY
All coaching should be supplemented with high-quality Tournament Games. These Tournaments are played online and allow Elite Players from all over Australia to compete against each other with coaches on hand observing your games.
It is possible to participate in a Tournament without being involved in the coaching. We are happy to accept late entries.
Elite Online plays Wednesday from 8 – 9pm (games are played with 20 minutes + 10 seconds bonus, per player).
Junior Masters play Thursday from 7 – 9pm (games played with 25 minutes + 12 seconds bonus, per player).
Note that players must be present at play.chesskids.com.au promptly at the starting time or risk missing their game.
We recommend you play over-the-board chess tournaments as well, it’s the only way to get your rating up:
- Play in any RJ Shield tournaments and your coach will give feedback to you on the day
- We’ll help with written game analysis of all games from approved Open (adult) weekenders
- Coaching at all approved Open (adult) weekenders
Junior Masters (3 hrs per week)
Chess Kids Junior Masters is for players who are already qualified Elite (rating is at least Age x 100). Some players who have not quite reached this level may be able to join, but the minimum rating to qualify is 1000. These lessons are targeted at players in the rating range of 1200-1600.
